Field Value Types Explained
You'll notice several types of data entry fields used in Location Manager to allow consise presentation of different types of information. Here is some explanation on each type and what's expected when you're entering your information.
Text boxes
The most common type of entry field is the text box - here you simply type in your information:
If you encounter a text box that is grayed out, it means the data is locked and cannot be changed by the user. To update information in a grayed out box, you will have to contact your site administrator or customer support:
Some text boxes offer guides to indicate what's expected:
- In the example above, the dollar sign prefix indicates you do not have to type the symbol, and hints that a numeric value should be entered.
- Also note the red text in the example - this shows the data entered needs to be revised before saving.
Paragraph fields
When a simple text box won't do, a larger paragraph box gives more room for your information:
Image fields
Image entry fields allow for the upload of files to be used in templates. File types vary, and some will display preview once loaded. These may be used for headshots, maps, QR codes, location images and more.
Drag-and-drop selections
Complicated selections are made easy with drag-and-drop fiels that allow you to physically move items from one list to another. Note also that in this example some selections are grayed out, indicating they cannot be edited by the user.
