Fulfillment

As opposed to print-on-demand and download products, "fulfillment" products are inventoried and ready for shipment upon order.

These can be promotional items like shirts, mugs, or pens. These also can be print materials that have been manufactured in advance and are deducted from inventory as used; these print items are "static" meaning they cannot be customized - for example catalogs and booklets, or universal store signage and fixtures.

Another common type of Fulfillment product is pre-assembled kits: for example, a new store grand opening kit, marketing folders pre-stuffed with literature, and non-customized correspondence cards with envelopes.

Items may be sold in set increments - indicating that they have been packaged on the shelf in pre-established quantities. This information will be displayed near the price, where you adjust the quantity before adding items to the cart.

Since these items are stocked (in our warehouse or elsewhere) they cannot be customized, swapped, or altered at time of purchase because the products are simply picked, packed and shipped.
